Let us now look at cordless blinds in our comparison of cordless or corded blinds.
How do pull string blinds work.
Grasp onto the set of single strings hanging along the right side of the blinds.
In easylift systems the blinds have a braided continuous loop that is used for lowering and raising the blinds.
In the case of a lift cord strings that connect to the bottom of the window covering are pulled by the cord.
This has a continuous loop beaded chain and works very similar to the easylift system.
To slightly cover the window spread the vanes over the window.
Pull down the right string to lower or raise the top of the blinds.
The cordless system truly makes lowering blind and shades easier than ever.
To lower the blinds you simply pull down on the bottom rail and tilt the bottom rail back and forth to tilt the slats.
To operate the continuous cord loop hold the front loop string and pull one hand over the other to lift the blind or shade up.
You may see the continuous cord loop referred to as easy glide easy up lift easy rise easy up soft glide ultra lift or ultra.
You can slide the vanes on one side in case you want to let sunlight come in.
A window covering is manipulated by pulling a lift cord or by pulling the covering itself.
Replace a pull cord.
Tie a new knot in the cord at the bottom rail and replace the rail cap.
A cordless blind still has cords going through the slats in order to operate them.

Window blinds all generally work in the same fashion.

Pull on the tassel or lift cord and it should string right through the blind.
To lower grasp the back loop string and pull with the same motion evenly and smoothly.
Locate the cord lock mechanism in the headrail the lift cords run through this.
Tug on the strings to lift the top portion of the blinds.
The vertical cordless blinds come with a vertical cord to rotate the vane of blinds.

You will see a pin.
Conversely try lowering the top of the blinds by angling the string and slowly releasing your grip.
