While wasps commonly build their nests under the eaves of a roof or slip beneath shingles and cracks to enter the attic they don t usually leave any damage behind.

Step 1 identify the position.
The preferred dust for hornets is drione which apparently is hard to come by this year.
A colony of wasps will take advantage of cracking or splitting wood to slip inside but the presence of a colony often means damage was already there.
To stop this behavior there are two things you can do.
Since the nest is in your siding you have never seen it only the bees entering and exiting.
I use it around my home twice a year.
Once in the spring to stop new nests from forming and once in the fall to stop invading perimeter pests from hibernating on my house.
Keep spraying the nest until the water completely soaks and destroys it.
If their nest is hidden from sight under the siding of your house not handling the issue promptly can be especially dangerous.
Make sure you use gloves long sleeved clothes and a protective mask.
An exterminator will have this product but that will be several hundred dollars.
Use water or wasp killer if the nest is in the eaves and visible from the outside after you remove the soffit you may be able to spray the nest with water.
The first is to dust with drione.
Be sure to use the high velocity setting on the hose s nozzle.
It will instantly kill the bees that travel through the hole.
Check the label and make sure that it produces a solid stream that reaches at least 15 ft 4 6 m.
Having these pests in the siding of your home can be even more dangerous as they can find ways into your home and pose a threat while you eat and sleep.
Purchase an aerosol insecticide with a 15 to 20 ft 4 6 to 6 1 m range.
You may not know for sure how many nests are inside your siding or how large the nests are.
You need something stronger.
Find a pressurized can of aerosol insecticide labeled for wasps and hornets at a home improvement store or garden center.
As a wasp nest beneath siding grows and branches out they may eventually find their way inside your home while searching further for food.

A pressure washer may damage your roof.
Hopefully you can find a small bottle for 25 to 50.
Place the bag over the nest knock the nest off with the scraper and seal the bag.
